Webinar

Think About Your Audience Before Choosing a Webinar Title

Wondering why a vulnerable plugin was installed? Having difficulties operating efficiently with disk utilization and performance issues, even teams that have gone rogue and created their own sprawl of Jenkins instances? Scaling for growth is not easy with the hardships presented in open -source CI software. At CloudBees, we make it seamless.

CloudBees CI is a fully featured, cloud-native capability that can be hosted on-premises or in the public cloud used to deliver CI at scale. It provides a shared, centrally managed, self-service experience for all your development teams running Jenkins.

Attendees will learn the best practices of automating Jenkins pipelines, how to manage continuous integration at scale and gain an understanding of a developer-centric experience for software delivery. Specifically, we'll cover how CloudBees CI, which offers enterprise functionality for Jenkins, can help attendees:

  • Deploy configuration-as-code at scale
  • Configure full environments using human-readable YAML files
  • Onboard projects quickly with pre-configured templates and policies
  • Apply best practices to better control resources and CI pipelines

Workshop pre-requisites:

  • An account on https://github.com and a basic understanding of how to use GitHub to edit files in the web UI, and create and work with pull requests. If you are new to GitHub or just new to using GitHub pull requests then you should review this GitHub documentation before the workshop
  • A basic understanding of Kubernetes
  • An understanding of the concept of a Kubernetes Pod and how it is different than a Docker container
  • A basic understanding of Jenkins Pipelines

We highly recommend using the Google Chrome browser to work through the lab content.

What You’ll Learn in This Webinar

You’ve probably written a hundred abstracts in your day, but have you come up with a template that really seems to resonate? Go back through your past webinar inventory and see what events produced the most registrants. Sure – this will vary by topic but what got their attention initially was the description you wrote.

Paint a mental image of the benefits of attending your webinar. Often times this can be summarized in the title of your event. Your prospects may not even make it to the body of the message, so get your point across immediately.  Capture their attention, pique their interest, and push them towards the desired action (i.e. signing up for your event). You have to make them focus and you have to do it fast. Using an active voice and bullet points is great way to do this.

Always add key takeaways. Something like this....In this session, you’ll learn about:

  • You know you’ve cringed at misspellings and improper grammar before, so don’t get caught making the same mistake.
  • Get a second or even third set of eyes to review your work.
  • It reflects on your professionalism even if it has nothing to do with your event.
