Madhu Kochar leads two IBM Software portfolios in Automation, Middleware and Asset Lifecycle Management, with global responsibility for products, technology direction, development, and delivery. Madhu has vast experience leading high performing worldwide engineering teams, driving innovations and generating significant growth for IBM Software. She has hands-on working experience with data, AI, and automation technologies and is now leading the new wave of GenAI for Middleware and Asset Lifecycle Management. In a prior role, Madhu formed IBM's critical data and AI strategy to ensure a clear and safe pathway to enterprise AI adoption. To strengthen IBM’s hybrid strategy and set the stage for SaaS, she led the internal development of IBM’s MultiCloud SaaS Platform, accelerating SaaS launch and operations for IBM Software. She has extensive experience in setting up world class DevOps and SRE practices. Madhu is the recipient of the prestigious Tribute to Women award for her role as an outstanding woman executive in Silicon Valley. She represented IBM in the STEM Summit Panels, serves on the IBM Corporate Asian Council, and led the local IBM Women Charter. Madhu is based in San Jose, California.
