Mark Little works for Red Hat, where he leads the JBoss technical direction and research and development. Prior to this he was SOA technical development manager and director of standards. He has experience with two successful start-up companies, and was chief architect as well as co-founder at Arjuna Technologies, a spin-off from HP (where he was a distinguished engineer), responsible for our transaction processing systems and standards. Mark has been working in the area of reliable distributed systems since the mid 1980's and received his PhD on the topic of Fault-Tolerant Distributed Systems with Replication and Transactions. Over the years he was a research fellow and is now a professor at Newcastle University. He is also a visiting professor at INSA-Lyon university.
