The integration eliminates environment drift, with auto-update across infrastructure, microservices and databases

San Francisco, CA, May 16, 2022 — Bunnyshell, the leading Environment-as-a-Service (EaaS) platform, today announced native integration with the infrastructure-as-code tool Terraform. The new integration provides a complete end-to-end solution for development teams to replicate their production environments at all stages of the software development lifecycle.

DevOps Connect:DevSecOps @ RSAC 2022

Release management for modern, cloud-native distributed enterprise software can pose challenges, as local development environments are so radically different from the complex production environments where the code is ultimately deployed. These differences can affect the way the code behaves, leading to bugs in production, rollbacks and long testing cycles. Even when a company is able to build production-like development and testing environments, changes to the real system lead to continual drift between the replicas and the real thing.

Bunnyshell’s EaaS platform creates always-updated ephemeral environments for development and testing. With Terraform integration, Bunnyshell’s auto-update and GitOps governance capabilities extend beyond microservices into infrastructure. Changes committed to either the code or the infrastructure will trigger an update of all environments, ensuring that a whole organization is always working on the latest version. The platform can pull infrastructure configurations and code from repositories in Github, GitLab, Bitbucket and deploy them on Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure and DigitalOcean.

Roxana Ciobanu, co-founder & CTO of Bunnyshell said “We are on a mission to make developers’ lives easier and Terraform is another milestone in that journey. In the GitOps age, the distinction between infrastructure and code is dissolving, and both change at unprecedented speed. We’re proud to be able to help developers keep up with their ever-changing production environments so they can create and deploy excellent code at speed and with confidence.”

ABOUT BUNNYSHELL

Bunnyshell is a multi-cloud Environments-as-a-Service platform that creates, manages and maintains production replicas, no matter how complex the architecture and what services are used. It automatically spins up new environments with every pull request or as part of the software release cycle, for development, testing, demo or deployment purposes. Bunnyshell brings predictability into sprints, enables frequency releases and helps developers ship more code. https://www.bunnyshell.com
