Cequence’s container-based, microservices application security architecture leverages open source technologies supported by CNCF members worldwide
SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 9, 2019 — Cequence Security, a provider of innovative application security solutions for today’s hyper-connected enterprises, today announced that it has joined the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). The CNCF is a global, vendor-neutral organization with a clear mission: make cloud native computing ubiquitous by fostering and sustaining an ecosystem of open source, vendor-neutral projects that contribute toward that goal.
“Moving to cloud-native and particularly the continuous integration and continuous development that goes along with that is the most important process that you can do to help secure your infrastructure,” explained Dan Kohn, Executive Director at CNCF. “The technology developed by Cequence Security aligns perfectly with this process and we welcome them as CNCF’s newest members.”
Cequence Security provides today’s hyper-connected organizations with a cloud-native, container-based software platform that enables its patented, AI-based security to be “baked in” to the web, mobile, and API application services that customers rely on to connect customers, partners, and suppliers. Its award-winning CQ botDefense is one example of a cloud-native security application that can be rapidly deployed in multiple private and public clouds, as well as on-premises data centers. CQ botDefense solution runs on the Cequence Application Security Platform and features an unmatched ability to automatically detect and defend against malicious bot attacks, including account takeover, business logic abuse, financial fraud, application DDoS, denial of inventory and other potentially catastrophic business disruptors.
“We’re seeing most large organizations transitioning very quickly from legacy monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures where these apps run as container-based microservices,” said Shreyans Mehta, CTO of Cequence Security. “We’ve developed an application security architecture specifically for this cloud-native environment. And we joined CNCF so that we can collaborate with other members that share our vision. We seamlessly integrate our application security capabilities with Kubernetes and Envoy to help ease the transition for customers adopting these cloud-native architectures.”
