SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CloudBees, Inc., the enterprise DevOps leader powering the continuous economy, today announced that Susan Lally has joined CloudBees as vice president of engineering. In her leadership role, Lally will plan, implement and oversee engineering strategies for the fast-growing continuous integration, continuous delivery and application release orchestration powerhouse. She comes to CloudBees from McGraw-Hill Education, a digital learning company, where she served as vice president of engineering and product development.

Lally brings more than 20 years of experience building and leading high-performing software engineering teams in a variety of fields. She has strengths managing small teams in technology startups as well as larger, more distributed enterprise teams. Lally has extensive experience tying agile methodologies to business goals and a passion for working in the developer tools space.

“As CloudBees continues on its enterprise DevOps strategy, we are dedicated to ensuring that our solutions continue to lead the industry and meet the enterprise demands of our customers,” said Sacha Labourey, CEO and co-founder of CloudBees. “Susan’s deep technology experience and broad skill set managing teams in high-growth environments make her a perfect fit.”

During her three years at McGraw-Hill Education, Lally helped teams deliver digital learning products that use data and insights to improve instructors’ effectiveness and students’ learning experiences. Prior to McGraw-Hill, she worked for two years at GitHub, leading a team of 100+ engineers, managers and quality specialists in delivering new features and improvements to the GitHub application and platform. She also worked at Nook Media LLC, where she was vice president of engineering for NOOK content services and, earlier in her career, spent 10 years in senior engineering roles at Adobe Systems introducing and maturing the Adobe Flex product line.

“I enjoy the challenge of driving engineering teams at collaborative and innovative companies that are truly dedicated to excellence, such as CloudBees,” said Lally. “I’m looking forward to ensuring that CloudBees’ solutions continue to respond to customer needs and support the company’s high-growth initiatives.”
