Former Dynatrace and Docker, Inc. Executive to Lead Company’s Marketing Efforts
Solingen, Germany and San Mateo, CA – September 5, 2019 – Instana, the leading provider of automatic Application Performance Management (APM) solutions for microservice applications, announced today that APM and Microservices industry veteran Laurent Séraphin has joined its executive leadership team as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Séraphin has over a decade of experience between the APM, Containers and Microservices industries. In his new role at Instana, he will leverage his expertise in both areas to lead all corporate, product solutions and revenue growth marketing as the company accelerates down the path of delivering a modern, automatic APM solution for microservices.
“Instana is delighted to welcome Laurent to our leadership team as Chief Marketing Officer,” said Mirko Novakovic, Instana co-founder and CEO. “We’ve seen consistent growth in demand for the APM solution we deliver, and Laurent is well equipped to help us drive this momentum with his prior experience and invaluable marketing expertise, as he’s spent years in the APM space, as well as for Docker, Inc., one of the companies at the forefront of enterprise containers and modern microsevices technologies.”
Prior to joining Instana, Séraphin was with Docker, Inc. where he was in charge of Growth Marketing. Previous to this, he was Senior Director EMEA Marketing at MuleSoft. Before that, Séraphin worked at Dynatrace for over six years as their Vice President of Marketing.
“With the exponential increase to IT complexity and rate of change, Instana continues to step into the management gap and provide leadership for delivering and operating Cloud-Native and microservice-based services,” said Laurent Séraphin, Instana CMO. “I’m excited for the opportunity to continue to add to Instana’s growth, building on the tremendous technical and business differentiation in the company’s solutions.”
Instana’s automatic application monitoring solution discovers application infrastructure and service components, deploys monitoring sensors for the application’s technology stack, traces all application requests – without requiring any human configuration or even application restarts. The solution detects changes in the application environment in real-time, adjusting its own models and visualizing the changes and impacts to performance in seconds.
