Resin.io is announcing the production release of resinOS 2.0, its purpose-built OS designed for running Docker containers on resource-constrained, embedded devices. This new release of resinOS is available both as part of the company’s resin.io managed platform solution and as a standalone open source OS for containers in the IoT.
With resin.io, organizations can address the management challenges of building, deploying and maintaining IoT devices in the field. Based on the Yocto framework, resinOS handles all aspects of OS-level virtualization of Linux containers and provides a productive development workflow proven in several years of deployments and thousands of devices in the field.
