Ramya is the senior director of emerging technology, where she is focused on the strategy and product roadmap of Salesforce Blockchain. In her role, Ramya leads the research and development of Salesforce Blockchain, while working closely with Salesforce customers and prospects to identify the best blockchain strategy for their business. She specializes in leading engineering teams building products in cloud computing, data platforms, distributed systems and machine learning platforms. Ramya joined Salesforce in 2007, as a developer and manager for a number of key product areas including API, messaging, big data and integration. She also recently led the engineering team for Salesforce Einstein, where she and her team were focused on building artificial intelligence and machine learning products. In between her time at Salesforce, Ramya worked at Pinterest as the head of data engineering. In this role, she led and managed teams responsible for Pinterest Data at Rest and translating that data to direct business value for the company. Ramya earned her MS in computer science from San Jose State University and her undergraduate degree in computer science from Madras University.
