Steven Kling has 26 years of experience in IT and software development, including eight years as an administrator, consultant, and app designer in the Atlassian ecosystem. He currently is Head of Engineering at Appfire, a company that makes team collaboration software to help workflow. A graduate of Texas A&M University and former Captain in the United States Army, Steven served two combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and is a recipient of the Bronze Star, the Combat Action Badge, and the Joint Services Commendation Medal. He lives in the greater Austin, TX area with his wife Kelsey and twin boys, Everett and Elliott.
