Building on its global momentum, Contino today announces a new leadership structure to accelerate its growth strategy, which will come into effect by the end of November
London and New York – November 28, 2016. Following his appointment earlier this quarter, Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey J. Collins, today announced the refinement of Contino’s leadership structure, including the creation of several new roles, as the company’s global growth continues to accelerate. The new leadership structure reflects the strategic importance of the company’s interactions with its customers and its transformation ambition, ensuring it is best positioned to drive momentum globally for 2017 and beyond.
Jeff commented: “Today’s organisational announcement reflects our continued focus on our clients, to ensure that Contino not only meets but exceeds their expectations. Our company performance over the past two years has positioned us for the significant international opportunities ahead and the acceleration of our global growth strategy.”
He continued: “The breadth of global experience, leadership qualities and values of this team gives me a high degree of confidence in our ability to lead us through the next phase of our strategic journey, thanks to an even stronger focus on our customers and our technology partners. The new structure has been shaped, both in terms of the executives and the allocation of responsibilities, with a view to ensuring that we will work and act collectively as one team to define and execute the company’s priorities worldwide.”
The new leadership structure will streamline business operations and ensure a client-centric service roadmap by clarifying key areas of responsibility:
President, EMEA ‒ Matt Farmer
Co-founder Matt Farmer will move on from his previous role as General Manager to President, EMEA. As the new President for EMEA, Matt will have full P&L responsibility of the region and will continue to lead Contino’s EMEA management team in developing and executing strategies to drive aggressive revenue and market-share growth. This more explicit focus will enable Contino to take maximum advantage of the huge opportunities available in the region. Matt will continue to serve as Executive Board Member.
CTO, EMEA ‒ Benjamin Wootton
Co-founder Benjamin Wootton will move on from his previous role as Account Principal to CTO, EMEA. In this capacity, Benjamin will be responsible for steering the future course of Contino’s service offering and technology roadmap, ensuring the continuous development of innovative new solutions that respond to the requirements of Contino’s global customers, who need data, systems and infrastructure to be delivered ever more quickly and at ever greater scale. Benjamin will also lead Contino’s team of global technologists as well as the worldwide strategic technology partnerships. Benjamin will continue to serve as Executive Board Member.
CFO ‒ Vicente Velez
Vicente has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. He will be responsible for managing all finance functions globally, with a particular focus on corporate strategy. His team will pursue ambitious, sustainable growth at Contino through both organic and inorganic opportunities.
Each of these roles will report in to Jeff, an enterprise industry veteran who was recently appointed CEO to guide Contino’s global expansion. The company, which specialises in enterprise DevOps and cloud transformation, has seen its global team triple and revenues grow by over 200% year-on-year since its founding in 2014.
Contino recently announced that they had gained Amazon Web Services APN Advanced Consulting Partner status which, alongside their Docker Premier Training and Consulting Partner status, reflects their drive to work with world-class technologies and partners. The Contino team will be in attendance at AWS re:Invent, taking place 28 November – 02 December in Las Vegas.
