Predict 2019: Forecasting the Future at a Virtual Summit

By: Alan Shimel on October 23, 2018 Leave a Comment

That time of year is drawing close: Sometime right after Halloween, heading into Thanksgiving, our thoughts turn to the holiday season. A new year is on the horizon. What will it bring? In the tech media world, we are swamped with folks who want to share predictions and thoughts on the new year and beyond. This year, we are wrapping all of these up into one great virtual summit called Predict 2019.

Similar to the environment we created for the DevOps Experience, Predict 2019 will feature a virtual environment with a conference lobby, presentation theater, expo hall and more. More than a series of YouTube live presentations, it is truly a conference experience from the comfort of your desk.

Predict2019Speakers

The content at Predict will be first and foremost. To that end, we are lining up some great speakers. I am happy to announce that celebrated DevOps author and practitioner Mirco Herring will be keynoting the DevOps tracks. Securosis and DisruptOps co-founder Rich Mogull will be keynoting the DevSecOps tracks. Our third keynote on containers, security and DevOps is Batchagalupe himself, John Willis.

We have added another keynote speaker in addition to the three above to Predict 2019.  We are really proud to announce that Chenxi Wang will be presenting her predictions for 2019. For those of you not familiar, Chenxi is the founder of Rain Capital and a former VP at Forrester. She also held executive positions at Intel Security, Twistlock and Cyphercloud, and is a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, as well as one of the most influential women in cybersecurity. Her keynote should not be missed.

In addition to the keynotes, a CEO panel discussion on AIOps will be moderated by me. Plus, we’ll have several other panels on key topics for 2019 and individual presentations. All told there will be 15 sessions at Predict 2019.

There will also be an exhibit hall where you can interact with other attendees and sponsors, watch videos and download more information. Just about everything you can do at a conference in the physical world, you will be be able to experience at Predict 2019—but without the airfare and hotel bill.

It should be a great day of learning and networking right from the comfort of your own chair.
